Wait and Load Waste Collection in London
London City Waste Clearance provides wait and load collections for contractors, refurbishment projects and property clearouts across London, including the City of London, the Square Mile and surrounding areas.
Our vehicle waits while your team loads the agreed waste, with assistance from our driver. This can be a practical alternative where leaving a skip on site is unsuitable.
Loading Time and Additional Charges
Each load includes 45 minutes of loading time. After this, additional loading time costs £50 for each additional 30-minute period or part thereof. No VAT is charged.
For example, a total loading time of 60 minutes incurs an additional £50 charge. A total loading time of 80 minutes incurs an additional £100 charge.
Please have your waste and loading team ready for the agreed collection time. Tell us about the materials, quantity and access arrangements when booking so we can plan the collection with you.
Vehicle Capacity and Weight Limit
Our vehicle has a capacity of 13 cubic yards, with a maximum load weight of 1 tonne. Both limits apply: heavy materials may reach the weight limit before the vehicle is full.
Describe the waste when requesting your quote, particularly if it includes dense materials such as rubble, soil or tiles. We will confirm whether the load is suitable and discuss whether more than one collection may be needed.
How Does Wait and Load Work?

- Tell us about parking, loading access, building restrictions and your preferred collection date.
- We confirm the collection arrangements and quote with you before booking.
- Your team loads the agreed waste with assistance from our driver.
- We remove the load for appropriate recycling or disposal.

Tell us about any restricted loading hours, narrow access or parking restrictions before booking. We need a suitable place for the vehicle to stop and load.
