Woodford Bridge is part of the North East London suburb of Woodford, within the London Borough of Redbridge and is located on an old road between Chigwell and Leytonstone. Woodford Bridge has had many notable people living there, including Joe Dever, author and games designer and Kate Williams, actress, resident during the making of the TV series Love Thy Neighbour.

Claybury was built from 1889-1893, and was known as London County Lunatic Asylum, Ilford. Claybury Hospital was the fifth London County Council Asylum. Ashton playing fields opened in 1986, it offers a well-equipped gym, Pilates classes and a function hall and meeting room for hire. In September 2014, work began to remove the old pitch to be replaced with a new all-weather pitch suitable for football, rugby, hockey and much more. The project has been funded by the London Marathon Charitable Trust, Redbridge Council and Vision, Redbridge Culture and Leisure.

ELHAP is one of the leading adventure playgrounds for children, young people and adults with disabilities. ELHAP opened in the summer of 1977, after 2 years of development, fundraising and hard work by Mrs Diana Casswell and a dedicated group of local people. Mrs Diana Casswell , who first had the idea, along with her husband Reverend Peter Casswell, set about starting the first adventure playground for children with disabilities outside of inner London.
